Katharine McPhee, 34, is now engaged to 68-year-old Emmy-winning music producer David Foster.
This would be Foster's fifth marriage if they go that route. He has five biological daughters. The dissolution of his last marriage from 2011 to 2015 with Yolanda van den Herik played out on "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."
McPhee - whose CBS show "Scorpion" was recently canceled after four seasons - was previously married to Nick Cokas. She cheated on him with a "Smash" producer and the couple divorced.
She also recently released an album of romantic standards amusingly titled “I Fall In Love Too Easily.”
Coincidentally, Foster played piano at McPhee's first wedding with Cokas in 2008, according to People magazine.

Caleb Lee Hutchinson's pre-taped performance at WSB studios appeared last night on the station's "Georgia Salutes America" special for July 4th. I was at the taping. Here he is singing "Chicken Fried." I apologize for taping it vertically.

On NBC's Macy's 4th of July Spectacular, Kelly Clarkson performed "Heat."
YouTube will start playing “related” videos after you play one. An enterprising person compiled the initial auditions of the first 15 “Idol” winners in one video if you want to see them again:

The other Caleb - season 13 winner Caleb Johnson - will perform Meat Loaf songs for Meat Loaf on an upcoming tour.
That's according to the Daily Mail. There has been no official announcement or dates just yet.
Meat Loaf has had an array of health issues and based on reports of his last tour, the man’s vocals are shot. So he’ll instead tell stories about his life while Meaf Loaf look a like (and sound a like to a degree) Caleb will cover for him - literally.

Maddie Poppe and Caleb Lee Hutchinson recently joined Billboard for an interview and performances. They duet "When You Say Nothing At All" at the 23:30 point, followed by her version "Going Going Gone."
They are now in rehearsals in Los Angeles to prepare for the upcoming tour which begins July 11 in Redding, Calif. Dates are here.
Here’s the official video for “Going Going Gone.” When she sang it on the stage of Billboard, she went at it at a slightly lower key. She had said the song is a challenge for her range.
The only station nationwide playing her song with any regularity is Radio Disney. (Synergy alert!)

I loved that Buzzfeed has a quiz where you have to name all 16 "American Idol" winners in three minutes or less. I came up with 15 but failed to name one from a season I almost deliberately block out of my own brain. What's worse: I interviewed this winner last year! Ulp! Try it out here.

The Broadway community released this video, a re-make of "We are the World" to call for more unity worldwide and features Justin Guarini and Constantine Maroulis. And don't worry, Constantine pulls out all the Constantine stops at about the 2:30 point:

He is skeptical about Taylor Hicks' recent claims he had an inside source who fed him the results ahead of time.
