Aisha Howard is the newest anchor at 11Alive, co-hosting the new UpLate 11 p.m. program.

She will join Ron Jones and effectively replace Vinnie Politan, who left last fall to return to the revitalized Court TV this spring.

She is set to start Monday.

Howard last worked as an anchor and reporter at Fox59 in Indianapolis. She previously worked at stations in New Bern, N.C. and middle Michigan.

The Flint, Mich. native also worked for nine months in Atlanta after graduating Michigan State University so she has some familiarity with the city.
