Nearly 30 years ago, the Punchline hosted the 96rock Atlanta Comedy Classic featuring J. Anthony Brown, James Gregory, the late great Tim Wilson and in what is being dubbed his first filmed performance Jeff Foxworthy in all his mulletted glory.

Foxworthy had just started stand up at the Punchline two years earlier. He ultimately headlined there for years and even when he became a big star, he'd go back there to test new material before the old space shut down this past spring.

Steve Mitchell, a former radio jock at 96rock and Eagle 106.7 who now runs a production company, was given a master copy and he has made it available now for rental ($4.99) or download ($9.99). Mitchell in 2013 came out with a documentary about the Punchline "If These Walls Could Talk."

The Comedy Classic itself only sold a few hundred copies on VHS in 1986, Mitchell said, and was forgotten. He's giving folks a chance to re-live it again.

"There are a lot of mullets," he noted - not just Foxworthy's.
