Watch: Jermaine Dupri and Ludacris update ‘Welcome to Atlanta’ for Atlanta Falcons

Just in time for the first day of the NFL season when the Atlanta Falcons will take on the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles (8:20 p.m., NBC), two Atlanta rap veterans have a little reminder.

Jermaine Dupri and Ludacris updated their locally legendary “Welcome to Atlanta” song to pay tribute to the Dirty Birds as they kick off a campaign that might see them become the first team to play a Super Bowl in their home stadium (and hey, maybe they’ll even win it this time).

The 2001 song written by Dupri originally landed on his “Instructions” album, as well as on Ludacris’ “Word of Mouf” as a hidden track.

This Falcons-centric version nods to the shimmering Mercedes-Benz Stadium as well as the nostalgia of Fulton County Stadium and ‘70s/‘80s-era players William Andrews and Steve Bartkowski.

A parade of current Falcons including quarterback Matt Ryan, wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, tight end Austin Hooper, running backs Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman,  defensive ends Brooks Reed and Vic Beasley and cornerback Desmond Trufant all appear in the video, as does rookie wide receiver Calvin Ridley (hey, kid, I drafted you on my fantasy team, so don’t let me down!).
