ZZ Top’s Dusty Hill is on the mend, but the band won’t return to the road until next year.

A few weeks ago, Hill took a misstep on the band’s tour bus and injured his hip, resulting in the postponement of several shows including Sept. 6 at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre at Encore Park.

That show, including original touring partner Jeff Beck, has been rescheduled for May 10. All previously purchased tickets will be honored or refunds are available at point of purchase.

The band’s management is now booking an extensive run of dates to start earlier in 2015. Those dates should be announced early next week.

Hill’s bandmates Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard said in a statement, “We’re looking forward to getting out there and rockin’ it with Dusty in a big way...100 percent. Hill added that he’d like to see Slim Harpo’s “Hip Shake” added to future set lists.

Other rescheduled dates include Tampa, West Palm Beach and St. Augustine, Fla., and The Woodlands, Texas.
