The metal mayhem that is Slipknot returns to the stage after several years with the
"Knotfest Roadshow."
The band will lap the country on a 29-city tour that kicks off July 26 in California and land at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre (formerly Verizon Amphitheatre) in Alpharetta at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 3. They’ll be joined by Volbeat, Gojira and Behemoth.
Tickets, priced at $49.50-$99.50, will go on sale at 10 a.m. March 8 via www.livenation.com. Citi cardholders can access a pre-sale until 10 p.m. March 7 (visit www.citiprivatepass.com for details).
Last year, Slipknot surprised fans with the release of the new song, “All Out Life.” The band plans to release a new studio album on Aug. 9; each pair of tickets purchased online will come with a digital copy of the release.
This is the 20th anniversary of the Iowa rockers, known for their chaotic performances and elaborate masks. Their new album will be the first in five years.
