Shaky Knees Festival postponed until the fall, Shaky Boots canceled

One of Atlanta’s biggest music events, the Shaky Knees Festival, has been rescheduled for Oct. 16-18.

The event was originally planned for May 1-3 at Central Park, where it will still take place this fall.

Organizers announced that headliners The Black Keys, The Strokes and The Smashing Pumpkins are confirmed for the new dates and an update about the remaining lineup will be announced as soon as possible.

Some of the other acts tapped for the original incarnation included the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Liam Gallagher, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Drive-By Truckers and Brittany Howard.

Previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new weekend. Tickets are also still on sale starting at $205 for three-day general admission. Visit shakykneesfestival.com for more information.

The return of the country-themed Shaky Boots, which would have taken place the following weekend (May 8-9) will not occur this year. That festival has been canceled and tickets will be automatically refunded beginning March 27 (please allow seven to 10 days for refunds to process).
