Roger Waters fans might have wondered about those cryptic billboards and social media posts for "Us + Them," and received no indication from the Pink Floyd co-founder, who is readying a second weekend of Desert Trip with The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and other classic rock legends.
On Thursday, Waters announced the “Us + Them” tour, which will spotlight classic Pink Floyd, his solo work and new material.
The tour kicks off in late May in Kansas City, Mo., and will play Infinite Energy Center in Duluth at 8 p.m. July 16. Tickets are $55-$199.50 and on sale at 10 a.m. Oct. 21 at www.infiniteenergycenter.com.
Citi cardholders will have access to VIP packages and a pre-sale beginning at 10 a.m. Oct. 17 via www.citiprivatepass.com.
“We are going to take a new show on the road, the content is very secret,” Waters said in a statement. “It’ll be a mixture of stuff from my long career, stuff from my years with Pink Floyd, some new things. Probably 75 percent of it will be old material and 25 percent will be new, but it will be all connected by a general theme. It will be a cool show, I promise you. It’ll be spectacular like all my shows have been.”
The tour marks Waters' U.S. return since his tremendously successful – and tremendously cool – "The Wall Live," which circled the world from 2010-2013 and is the highest-grossing tour by any solo artist in history.
