The Rolling Stones made history Friday night with their performance at Ciudad Deportiva, a makeshift venue assembled for the biggest rock concert ever in Cuba.

The band is the most famous act to play Cuba since its 1959 revolution and, according to a dispatch from the Miami Herald , the free concert was expected to draw a crowd of at least 500,000 fans and possibly close to a million.

The Rolling Stones, whose "Zip Code" leg of the tour played Atlanta last summer , opened their Cuban concert with the double punch of "Jumpin' Jack Flash" and "It's Only Rock and Roll (But I Like It)."
