Sometimes in life you have to make those tough calls -- stay in town and go see Rick Springfield for the 30 or 40th time or go visit my old friends in Richmond and participate in my fantasy football draft in person?

I know, cry me a river, right?

This time, I chose to take a weekend off and head north in the name of my favorite sport (LeSean McCoy or Marshawn Lynch - what would you do?).

But I know there are a lot of like-minded '80s music fans out there -- particularly of Mr. Springfield, with whom I talked earlier this summer about this tour with The Romantics and Loverboy , as well as his movie with Meryl Streep, "Ricki and the Flash," which sounded like a better idea on paper than in execution.

So photographer Chuck Holloway was on site at Chastain Park Amphitheatre Saturday to document the evening of nostalgic hits.

Good to see that Springfield still has his roses.
