Music Midtown will return to Piedmont Park this fall for the same mid-September weekend it’s owned since 2012.

The two-day festival will take place Sept. 16-17, remaining a full-day Saturday-Sunday affair (last year it changed from Friday night and all-day Saturday to fill both weekend days).

The lineup for the Live Nation-produced festival is typically announced in June. Recent headliners have included The Killers , Beck, Elton John, Eminem and Twenty One Pilots.

Numbers from Billboard show that more than 129,000 attended last year’s event.

In 2014, Music Midtown generated an economic impact estimated at $50 million, according to a 2015 report by The Research Center at the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce.
