The Kenny Leon-helmed Broadway drama "American Son" is heading to Netflix.

The searing play starring Kerry Washington and Stephen Pasquale will conclude its limited run at the Booth Theatre in New York on Jan. 27, but those who were unable to see it live will at least have a small screen version.

Washington announced the news on “The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon” and said that the play will be filmed in February as a stage presentation/movie hybrid.

Leon will return to direct; the other members of the small cast – Jeremy Jordan and Eugene Lee – will participate as well.

The play by Christopher Demos-Brown unfolds in real time in a Miami police station as estranged parents (Washington and Pasquale) seek answers about their missing teenage son.

“American Son” opened in November. It achieved its highest gross this week, earning $738,615 (of a potential $888,864) according to Playbill.
