The Allman Brothers Band  ended their venerable career last week with final shows at the Beacon Theatre in New York, but that doesn't mean Gregg Allman is taking a break.

The ever-busy musician will kick off a spate of solo dates with a New Year’s Eve show at Atlanta Symphony Hall.

Tickets for the 9 p.m. Dec. 31 gig are $35.50-$149.50 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Nov. 7. Tickets can be purchased at the Woodruff Arts Center box office, www.ticketmaster.com, 1-800-745-3000 and all Ticketmaster outlets.

Allman, who recently played Music Midtown with his stellar touring band , will also be in town Nov. 12 as part of the Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute concert at the Fox Theatre.
