Jason Aldean and Florida Georgia Line are reportedly among the new “friends” recruited by Garth Brooks for a special edition of his classic, “Friends in Low Places.”
A source tells Billboard that Brooks has teamed with the Georgia artists, along with his idol, George Strait, and guitar wizard Keith Urban, for a 25th birthday recording of the song. The revamp is also said to include the fan-favorite third verse, which doesn't appear on the original recording, but became known from Brooks' 1998 "Double Live" album.
"Friends in Low Places," a sing-along staple at bars, cruise ships, karaoke nights and Brooks' own live shows , arrived in 1990 and spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.
