BY MELISSA RUGGIERI/AJC Music Scene

The Atlanta-set remake of “Superfly” will not only include rap royalty such as Big Boi , but a soundtrack spotlighting Future.

The trap master shared a new trailer for the film, due this summer, in a tweet on Thursday , and acknowledged that the film would include new Future music.

Future is also curating the soundtrack, much like Kendrick Lamar did with “Black Panther,” as well as co-producing the Director X-steered film.

The original "Superfly," released in 1972, was complemented by Curtis Mayfield's famed soundtrack, which produced the hit title track and "Freddie's Dead."
