Don Henley will visit Atlanta this fall on his “Cass County Tour 2015,” a 15-city outing to support his upcoming “Cass County” album.
Henley will perform at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre at 8 p.m. Oct. 17 with Shawn Colvin opening. Tickets are $62.50-$152.50 and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Aug. 7 (American Express cardholders can participate in a pre-sale now). Henley last played the area in 2005 with a show at The Arena at Gwinnett Center.
“Cass County,” Henley’s fifth solo album and his first in 15 years, will bow Sept. 25. It’s named for the northeastern Texas county where Henley was raised and was recorded primarily in Nashville and Dallas. Among Henley’s musical pals making appearances on the record are Mick Jagger, Merle Haggard, Miranda Lambert, Vince Gill and Dolly Parton.
The album will be available as a 12-song standard CD and digital release, as well as a 16-track deluxe version, which will be available on CD, digital platforms and a double vinyl LP. Those with some extreme dedication to Henley might want to check out the super deluxe version , which includes a 50-page booklet, a T-shirt and lithograph.
Fans who pre-order "Cass County" on iTunes will receive instant downloads of the songs "That Old Flame" and "Take a Picture of This."
