The Atlanta Hawks and 2 Chainz are throwing a year-end party at Philips Arena on Dec. 30.

The Atlanta rapper, who last performed during a Hawks game in March 2015 , will again take the court at halftime and postgame during the team's tilt against the Detroit Pistons.

“I’m looking forward to hitting the floor to perform at the last Hawks game of 2016,” 2 Chains (real name Tauheed Epps) said in a statement. “I’ve been all around the world, but there’s no place like Atlanta and I can’t wait to feel the energy at Philips Arena.”

But 2 Chainz, king of the ugly Christmas sweaters , is taking the partnership with his hometown squad another step.

Every Tuesday this month, he’s engaging fans in a series of weekly giveaways during the T.R.U. Tuesdays campaign (2 Chainz’s music imprint is The Real University, aka T.R.U.), such as his recent “Hibachi for Lunch,” free lunch giveaway at Benihana.

And to commemorate 2 Chainz's upcoming appearance at the Hawks game, an updated version of his team shirt – featuring, of course, his noted "two chains" look – will be available for purchase (check out www.hawksshop.com).

The Hawks are also offering a "2 Chainz 2-Pack" (www.hawks.com/2chainz) which includes two seats to the game and $10 in food and beverage credit. Tickets start at $29.

2 Chainz’s halftime performance will be televised on Fox Sports Southeast and streamed live on Fox Sports GO. Coverage will begin at 7:30 p.m., with tipoff scheduled for 8 p.m.
