FRIDAY

Chicago and the Doobie Brothers

Chicago trombonist James Pankow said the band recently enjoyed a celebratory dinner to commemorate its 50th anniversary and, like many veteran acts, acknowledged that he never knows when a tour might be the final one. Fans of both Chicago and their touring mates of the summer, the Doobie Brothers, will receive the ideal scenario – each band performing a separate set and then hitting the stage together for an encore of songs from their respective catalogs.

7:30 p.m. June 23. $25-$125. Verizon Amphitheatre at Encore Park, 2200 Encore Parkway, Alpharetta. 1-800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com.

SUNDAY

Sheryl Crow

On her 10th studio album, “Be Myself,” Crow re-visits the breezy pop that established her as a dominant voice of the mid-‘90s with robust albums such as her self-titled tour-de-force and “The Globe Sessions.” Crow, who detoured more down a country lane with 2013’s “Feels Like Home,” is back to incisive, topical lyrics couched in guitars on this current release – though fans can be assured that her set list sprints across her entire nearly-25-year recording career.

8 p.m. June 25. $34-$104. Chastain Park Amphitheatre, 4469 Stella Drive N.W., Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com.

Pitbull and Enrique Iglesias

The bromance between the two Latin-American superstars remains strong, as they bring their dual catalogs to Duluth for the third time in seven years ( last summer Pitbull simmered with Prince Royce at Philips Arena ). A party is always guaranteed when Mr. Worldwide is onstage with his slight, albeit infectious, pop hits ("Fireball," "Timber," "Don't Stop the Party"), while Iglesias remains a master of the smoldering come-on while crooning "Bailando," "Hero" and his current international smash, "Súbeme La Radio."

With CNCO. 7:30 p.m. June 25. $29.95-$139.95. Infinite Energy Center 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth. (770) 626-2464, www.infiniteenergycenter.com.

TUESDAY

John Mellencamp

After a lengthy, successful run with his "Plain Spoken" tour, which played the Fox Theatre in 2015, Mellencamp has recruited a couple of old friends to join him on this "Sad Clowns & Hillbillies" run. During a recent interview with Howard Stern , Mellencamp expressed apprehension at predominantly playing outdoor venues for the first time in ages. Good luck, buddy.

With Emmylou Harris and Carlene Carter. 7:30 p.m. June 27. $55.50-$245. Chastain Park Amphitheatre, 4469 Stella Drive N.W., Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com.
