FRIDAY

The Avett Brothers

The North Carolina quartet is such a huge draw, they'll park at the Fox Theatre for a trio of shows this summer. The indie-folk-rockers released their ninth studio album, "True Sadness," last year and plan to shake up the set list for each concert.

8 p.m. June 9-10. $39.50-$59.50. Fox Theatre, 660 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta. 1-855-285-8499, www.foxtheatre.org.

Maze featuring Frankie Beverly

If it’s summer, it’s time for a tour with Maze and Frankie Beverly. No matter that the band hasn’t released a new album since 1993’s “Back to Basics” – their perennial summer road trip keeps fans satisfied as long as they’re churning out “Joy and Pain” and “Back in Stride.”

With The O’Jays. 7:30 p.m. June 9. $79-$125. Chastain Park Amphitheatre, 4469 Stella Drive NW, Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000, www.ticketmaster.com.

SUNDAY

Chance the Rapper

Regardless of his future, the Chicago hip-hop star will always be regarded for making Grammy history by becoming the first act to be nominated — and win — based on a streaming-only release ("Coloring Book"). Chance took home a trio of awards, and that was likely only the start. In March, he donated $1 million to Chicago Public Schools and on the June 25 BET Awards, will be honored with the BET Humanitarian Award.

8 p.m. June 11. $36-$90.50. Lakewood Amphitheatre, 2002 Lakewood Way, Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000, www.livenation.com.

Daryl Hall and John Oates with Tears for Fears

Prepare for a massive singalong with these two bands on the bill. Hall & Oates brought their extensive catalog of Philly soul-pop hits to Lakewood Amphitheatre last May and performed at Music Midtown in 2015. On Saturday, John Oates fans can visit Taco Cowboy on Virginia Avenue for a Q&A session and signing of his new autobiography, "Change of Seasons." The '80s hits of Tears for Fears were last heard in Atlanta at a 2010 concert at Chastain Park Amphitheatre, and by recent accounts, are still bringing it live with a set list featuring "Sowing the Seeds of Love," "Mad World" and, of course, "Shout."

With Allen Stone. 7 p.m. June 11. $35-$129.50. Infinite Energy Arena, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth. 770-626-2464, www.infiniteenergycenter.com.

TUESDAY

Dead and Company

John Mayer might be returning to his solo career, but he's carved out time this summer for a third round of dates with his new heroes: Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir, and drummers Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann along with bassist Oteil Burbridge and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti. Given the presence of longtime Allman Brothers Band member Burbridge, a tribute to the recently deceased Gregg Allman seems likely .

7 p.m. June 13. $40-$149.50. Lakewood Amphitheatre, 2002 Lakewood Way, Atlanta. 1-800-745-3000, www.livenation.com.
