For two decades, Alanis Morissette has dealt with a lot of cranky language nerds (and we know who we are) who feel the need to consistently point out the many scenarios in her hit "Ironic" that aren't, well, ironies.

To promote the anniversary release of her landmark "Jagged Little Pill" album, Morissette has been making the publicity rounds ( last week she engaged in a thoughtful interview with Howard Stern ).

But so far her crowning achievement is her appearance on "The Late Late Show with James Corden," where the pair revamped "Ironic" to include modern updates such as Facebook, swiping left, Uber and a nifty dig at Southwest Airlines' single-class service.
