I got some of the details wrong in my recent post about additional tax incentives for the new Braves stadium in Cobb County, and those details are probably important enough to deserve a separate post to correct.

Contrary to my original post, the Braves will not be applying for incentives through the state Tourism Development Act, which would allow them to collect rebates on sales tax revenues generated by their project. Instead, they are seeking an exemption on the state sales tax that would be charged on materials used in the stadium's construction.

I hate getting things wrong, but this time I did.
