New Americans: Georgia State campus leader embraces Latino roots

Dec 27, 2017The AJC's New Americans series includes profiles of college students, including German Botello, the son of Mexican immigrants who are now U.S. citizens. A senior at Georgia State University, Botello is the first in his family to attend a four-year university.
The riveting AJC series focuses on the experiences of first-generation Americans, from the challenges to the rewards. In each case, these young Americans are committed to giving back to their community and their country.
