Metro Atlanta restaurants continue to support their communities even as their businesses are disproportionately hurt by the coronavirus shutdown. Kani House, in Woodstock, is offering free meals to all medical personnel, city officials and school personnel today, March 23.

In a promotion called Meals for Heroes, Kani House is offering qualifying professionals their choice of a hibachi entree, fried rice entree or sushi roll for free simply by calling the restaurant at 770-592-5264. The restaurant announced the initiative in an Instagram post on Sunday.

Other restaurants like Grindhouse Killer Burgers and Hawkers Asian Street Fare are offering discounts to medical professionals and foodservice workers, as well. As more municipalities shut down in-person dining and a potential state-wide shutdown looms, it’s important to check restaurants’ websites and social media for their most up-to-date status on ordering and takeout procedures.
