We'd like to think that a big part of what makes a hotel so special is its culinary offerings. So what options do you have if you visit The Lodge?

Colt & Alison, a Southern inspired steakhouse, offers its prime cuts of meat next to a fireplace and views of Plantation Course's 18th hole.

Oak Room, an oceanfront tavern, features Southern favorites including shrimp and grits and cornbread-crusted meatloaf along with a craft cocktail menu and a bagpiper playing sweet tunes.

If you're looking for a dose of testosterone, Men's Locker Room offers up a "man cave" vibe with lunch service including sandwiches, salads and soup, plus a full bar and a cigar room.

But wait, that's not all! U.S. News & World Report also ranked the rest of the top hotels in Georgia :

The Cloister at Sea Island, a sister property of The Lodge, features several dining options, including The Georgian Room, the only Forbes' five-star restaurant in Georgia, which serves Southern food using local ingredients; Tavola, which offers pizzas, pastas and a variety of other Italian dishes; and River Bar, a French brasserie that also has an extensive wine and spirits list.

The St. Regis Atlanta features Astor Court, which offers afternoon tea in addition to brunch, lunch and dinner; The St. Regis Bar, which offers an extensive wine and cocktail list as well as small plates and sandwiches; and The Wine Room, which offers food pairings with over 500 wines by the bottle and more by the glass.

Four Seasons Hotels Atlanta snagged a catch when it landed Bar Margot, one of the newest Ford Fry eateries, whose bar-centric menu is a collaboration between Fry and while Park 75 features Gerstnecker's season American menu.

The Ritz-Carlton Buckhead  offers up The Cafe, which features a menu of American dishes with touches of Italy, France and Spain, as well as a full wine menu and Sunday brunch , and The Lobby Lounge, which serves up afternoon tea, cocktails, wine and cordials.
