Those famous "Eat Mor Chickin" Chick-fil-A cows might have a bone to pick with a recent list ranking the top fast food fried chicken sandwiches.
Food blog Delish picked -- gasp! -- Atlanta-based Chick-fil-A's Classic Chicken Sandwich for the second spot on the list, behind the newly released Chick'n Shack sandwich from Shake Shack , which has one Atlanta location at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta.
Rounding out the list is the Crispy Chicken Sandwich from Wendy's in the third spot; Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen's Chicken Po'Boy; The Double Doubler from KFC; The Original Chicken Sandwich from Burger King; and Premium Crispy Chicken Sandwich Deluxe from McDonald's.
The Delish piece gave Shake Shack the edge over Chick-fil-A for its "HUGE, crunchy chicken patty that feels like a substantial meal," and added, "Basically, now that this baby has moved from Brooklyn, we're confident it will take over the fried chicken game everywhere it goes."
But rankings be damned, our hometown sandwich will always hold the number one spot in our hearts.
