If you've seen my Twitter account, you know it's a photo of a heart-shaped doughnut with chocolate frosting and rainbow sprinkles. It's a symbol of my love of the doughy treat.

Metro Atlanta is home to a myriad of great independent and chain doughnut shops. If you like yours hot, that's available, though I prefer mine at room temperature or slightly chilled. Want a red velvet or maple-bacon-cheddar doughnut? That's an option too. And, doughnut lovers like me will rejoice: Friday, June 3 is National Doughnut Day, so be sure to look for free sweet treats around town .

All of this brings me today's poll: Who makes the best doughnut in Atlanta?

Vote in the poll and share your thoughts in the comments section. Poll results will post in two weeks so get to voting or sharing on social.
