“I’d say stick with the flavors as the kitchen suggests them. Order the chole bhatura and you’ll be delivered a large platter bearing two deep-fried bhaturas as fluffy and inflated with air as a pair of balloons. “ – Wyatt Williams

A popular Decatur vegetarian Indian restaurant has expanded with a second location.

Madras Mantra opened over the weekend at 2349 Windy Hill Road in November, in a space previously occupied by Mexican restaurant Hacienda Vieja. The restaurant, owned by restaurateur Narendra Patel, also has a location at 2179 Lawrenceville Highway in Decatur. Patel also owns Madras Chettinaad in Alpharetta.

Madras Mantra offers a variety of soups and appetizers, uthappams, dosais, curries and desserts and features a daily lunch buffet.
