Update: Scott Gerber provided a statement regarding the closure:

After a great eight year run, Gerber Group closed Whiskey Park and Living Room on October 31. W Atlanta – Midtown has new ownership that is renovating the hotel, so we accommodated their plans by agreeing to an early termination of our contract. Although bittersweet, we look forward to continuing to serve our loyal guests at Whiskey Blue at W Atlanta – Buckhead.”

Original story:

A lounge and nightclub at the W Atlanta Midtown hotel are closed after eight years in business.

Nightclub Whiskey Park and lobby lounge Living Room addressed the closure on their Facebook page:

To all our friends:

Whiskey Park and Living Room at W- Atlanta Midtown will be closing October 31st.

The last 8 years have been an incredible experience for all of us at Gerber Group; thanks to our staff, friends and loyal guests who have made Whiskey Park and Living Room their own.

Although bittersweet, we look forward to continuing to serve you at Whiskey Blue at W Atlanta - Buckhead.

Hope to see you soon!

Sincerely,

Gerber Groups

The "'Gerber" in Gerber Group is the last name of Scott Gerber, who serves as principal and CEO. Brother Rande (who is also married to model Cindy Crawford) is no longer involved in the company. Gerber Group, which operates the Whiskey Bar concept at several concepts in New York and Chile, as well as Whiskey Blue in Buckhead, opened Whiskey Park in  mid-2008. Whiskey Bar was divided up into a main bar area, a lounge area and a V.I.P. area.

Over the years, it attracted stars including Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, "30 Rock" star Katrina Bowden, "Sex and the City" actor Jason Lewis, rapper and producer P. Diddy and singer Usher.

No reason has been given for the closure. Check back for more updates.
