Pig out, literally. South African dishes in Buckhead. There are several fun, food events happening in metro Atlanta, so add one or all four of the following activities to your calendar. Be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time.
Saturday, May 20: During Pig 'n Pilz, Twain's Brewpub and Billiards will roast an entire Ossabaw hog, serve plates of pork, sides and brewed beer beginning at 1 p.m. (Guests can come at noon for a brewery tour.) Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at the restaurant.

May 19-21: Chef de cuisine Spencer Gomez of Holeman and Finch created gypsy chef weekend, a concept of inviting a chef to tour Atlanta and cook at the restaurant for the weekend. For the inaugural weekend, Gomez will host Trey Rayburn, formerly of The Branded Butcher in Athens. Gomez and Rayburn will invite guest to a Buford Highway crawl at 8 p.m. Friday, May 19 to discover local culinary jewels. On Saturday, May 20, the two chefs will handle dinner service--a presentation of four of Rayburn's plates along with the pub's signature dishes. After, guests can expect late-night live music. On Sunday, May 21 guests will be able to stop in for lunch with two special dishes by Rayburn added to the menu. Dishes will be available a la carte.

Monday, May 22: Make Monday a little happier with a flights and bites deal. Executive chef Woolery Back of Table & Main will serve a small plate plus a flight featuring Knob Creek Single Barrel, Elijah Craig Barrel Proof and Wild Turkey Rare Breed bourbons. A seat at the table will be $25.
