Calling all Middle Eastern food fans. If you like Yalla, you'll love what's in store  for a one-day only Israeli food bonanza.

On Saturday, Jan. 23 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Yalla chef-partner Todd Ginsberg is hosting guest chef Avivit Priel Avichai of Tel Aviv, Israel at his Middle Eastern food stall in Krog Street Market .

Priel Avichai, chef-owner of Ouzeria and The Cookbook Café restaurants in Tel Aviv, will serve ejjeh, an herb and potato omelet, with matbucha (a Middle Eastern salsa), tahini and arugula. Other bites include senia, lamb kebab with roasted tomatoes and tahini. A scaled-down version of the regular Yalla menu also will be available during that time.

"It is always a treat and an honor to have a great chef cook alongside you in your kitchen," said Ginsberg. “I had the opportunity to travel to Israel in preparation for the opening of Yalla and experience the different cultures of that country through its food. Yet, I am sure that Chef Avivit will show me – and our guests at Yalla -- something I haven’t seen before.”
