Toco Hill LongHorn Steakhouse to reopen next week and other Atlanta restaurant news from the week

In case you missed it, here’s what happened in the Atlanta food and dining scene this week.

Restaurant news

The LongHorn Steakhouse located at 2892 North Druid Hills Rd. in Toco Hill, will re-open this Monday after being closed since June 2014 due to a fire . The restaurant has been in business at that location since 1983. The 5,620 square-foot restaurant will seat more than 200 customers.

Staplehouse, which was named one of the top two new restaurants in the country by Bon Appetit magazine , announced in a newsletter on its Facebook page that it will eliminate its tasting menu Sept. 1 and move to an a la carte menu format, allowing the restaurant to "better utilize (its) patio and dining room." The restaurant, which will celebrate its first year of being open in September, will honor tasting menu reservations through August.

Octane Coffee opened its fourth location today in the Woodruff Arts Center at 1280 Peachtree St. in Atlanta.
