A building that was formerly home to a taxi cab company is getting new life starting today.

BlueTop -- whose name pays homage to the cab company -- is opening its doors to the public today for lunch and dinner at 5362 Peachtree Road in Chamblee.

Former Portofino executive chef Matt Marcus and business partner Andy Lasky's spot's concept is "Americana fast casual," according to Marcus, with items including lobster corn dogs, chicken confit and lamb sloppy joes made on a KUDU grill and cocktails made in glasses rinsed with meat fats.
