These are the stories that lit up the metro Atlanta dining scene this week:
Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea is expected to open in the TOWN Brookhaven development next year, Tomorrow's News Today reports.
It will be the first Georgia location for the Michigan-based business, and will take the place of Copper Coin Coffee, which closed its doors last year. There are also Sweetwaters locations in California, Ohio and Tennessee.
The shop serves a variety of coffee drinks, teas, frozen drinks, pastries and other desserts, sandwiches and salads.
•Several new additions are coming to Peachtree Pavilion in Doraville. Taiwanese chain Chi Chop is slated to open a location soon in the shopping center, and Tree Story Bakery is also about to open a location in the center. Yaki Yaki recently opened in the food court in H Mart in Peachtree Pavilion.
•El Super Pan at The Battery has added some new members to its leadership team. Giovanni Currie, who will serve as service manager, has worked in Atlanta at Ruth's Chris Steak House at Embassy Suites, JP Atlanta and New Realm Brewing. Eduardo Guzman, who will serve as bar manager, has worked as Ford Fry restaurants including JCT. Kitchen, The Optimist, Marcel, and Beetlecat; Shaun's Restaurant; and Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall. El Super Pan at The Battery also recently launched a new brunch menu.
•Pho Dakao, which opened earlier this year in Smyrna, is adding a second location in Kennesaw, Tomorrow's News Today reports.
•Tequila Mama will open in Suwanee is early 2019, What Now Atlanta reports.
