Patio party during Atlanta Streets Alive. Puerto Rican Heritage Celebration Dinner hosted by several chefs. There are several fun, food events happening in Atlanta, so add one or all four of the following activities to your calendar. Be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time.

Tuesday, June 6: Enjoy an evening in Spain with Eclipse di Luna's  wine tasting from 6-7:30 p.m. Hosted by Mark Weeber from Trellis Beverage Alliance, the evening will feature regional Spanish wines and spirits plus special hors d'oeuvres for $10.

Saturday, June 10: Several chefs will team up to host the second annual Puerto Rican Heritage Celebration Dinner at JP-Atlanta Restaurant & Bar beginning at 7 p.. Each chef will host a station and provide insight on their dish including how it was influenced by their strong heritage. Specialty cocktails and music will round out the festivities. Featured chefs will include Julio Delgado of JP Atlanta, Andre Gomez of Porch Light Latin Kitchen, Jimmy Carey of Jimmy'z Kitchen, Xavier Pacheco of La Juaquita Baya, Hector Santiago of El Super Pan and Pedro Alvarez of AlCor Foods Inc. during the evening. Tickets, which are $85, may be purchased here. A portion of proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Ser Familia, a nonprofit organization that works to strengthen the local Latino community.

Sunday, June 11: The third installment of  The Optimist's patio party will feature fish tacos, shrimp corn dogs, hushpuppies, Mexican corn, fried rice, Aperol spritz and gin and tonic popsicles for $5 each from 4-8 p.m. Coinciding with Atlanta Streets Alive, an initiative of the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition to promote open streets for all, will make it more cause for celebration; Howell Mill Road will be closed to motorized traffic that evening in support of the festivities so guests can bike, skate or stroll on down to The Optimist patio and dance during a live brass band performance.
