Southern-inspired restaurant to replace Italian eatery in Brookhaven

Pasta and pizza will soon give way to Southern favorites in Brookhaven.

Fiorello's Italian Bistro, which took the place of Brookhaven Provisions in the Brookleigh Marketplace at 3575 Durden Drive NE earlier this year, has closed its doors.

The space has been snapped up by Glenda and Jose Mata who plan to turn it into an "upscale Southern-inspired American restaurant and bar," according to Steve Josovitz of The Shumacher Group, Inc., who brokered the deal.

The Matas also own Secreto Southern Kitchen & Bar and Mexican restaurant Terra Humata, both in Alpharetta.

Brookleigh is also home to Pure Taqueria, Marlow’s Tavern and Bon Glaze.
