Atlanta-based Hooters is opening the first Atlanta location of a sister concept, Hoots, this year.

The "Hooters joint" will open this year in the Madison Yards development this summer at 935 Memorial Drive in Reynoldstown, Tomorrow's News Today reports.

Hoots has a franchise location in a suburb of Chicago, but the brand’s second overall location will be corporate owned.

The counter-service restaurant’s menu will be a condensed version of items available at Hooters, featuring carry-out top sellers including wings, chicken sandwiches and sides.

One big difference patrons will likely notice between Hooters and Hoots: Both male and female Hoots employees will wear polo or v-neck shirts with khaki pants rather than the famous Hooters orange shorts and snug T-shirts.

Another thing that might raise some eyebrows: Like Hooters, Hoots will eschew hometown favorite Coca-Cola in favor of Pepsi products.

The AJC has reached out to Hooters for more details.
