Alpharetta

Bantu, Avalon. The Asian fusion eatery closed its doors in Avalon's just more than a year after opening, to be replaced by Branch & Barrel in 2016.

Decatur/Oak Grove/Avondale Estates

Mezza, Oak Grove. Will close at the end of December after more than 12 years in business. Read more about the closing here.

Bhojanic, Decatur. Closed after more than 12 years. The owners say they will return with a new concept in 2016. The Buckhead location will remain open. Read more about the closing here.

Manuel's Tavern, Virginia-Highland. Closed for remodeling, will reopen in 2016.

Flip Burger, Poncey-Highland. The Westside location will remain open. Read more about the closing here.

Cafe 640, Poncey-Highland. Formerly known as Cafe del Sol, the space will be be reinvented in 2016. Read more about the closing here.

Family Dog, Morningside. The Ron Eyester restaurant was taken over by Ivy at Buckhead. Read about the closing here.

Southern Comfort, Atlanta. This honky-tonk bar broke hearts when owner George Jones announced its closing in December. Management is still hopeful a new buyer will reopen the spot in the future.
