Scout , a new concept from longtime Atlanta restauranteur Chris Martha that was slated to open in early summer in the Oakhurst neighborhood of Decatur, will finally open to the public on Wednesday, after several recent soft opening events.

Located in the historic Neel Reid-designed Scottish Rite building at 321 West Hill Street, the extensive architectural and interior re-design of the 4,500 square foot space was undertaken by Ed Seiber of the Atlanta firm Seiber Design, Inc., making use of multiple large windows and an open floor plan to create a dramatic, light-filled restaurant with an exhibition-stye kitchen and multi-sided bar.

In addition to managing partner Martha, the opening team includes executive chef and partner Michael Semancik and beverage director Nate Shuman.
