Sage Social Kitchen now open in Marietta

A new restaurant is opening has opened its doors in East Cobb.

Sage Social Kitchen is located at open at 1401 Johnson Ferry Road, where  Chequers Seafood + Steak was before it closed after 33 years  in May.

It's be the third restaurant for the Sage group, which also has Sage Woodfire Tavern locations in Alpharetta and Dunwoody. Another Sage Social Kitchen is set to open in Buckhead in early 2017.

Dunwoody Sage Woodfiew Tavern general manager Rick Syers told the AJC that the new restaurant will feature the same cuisine as the other locations -- including fish and seafood, steaks and chops, salads, chicken, pastas and burgers prepared on a woodfire grill -- but with more of a focus on tapas.
