An established Atlanta restaurant group is adding a new concept to its arsenal in Buckhead after announcing a location in East Cobb.
Sage Woodfire Tavern Restaurant Group is planning to open Sage Social Kitchen and Bar at 3379 Peachtree -- the space previously occupied by Morton's Steakhouse -- in early 2017.
The 7,000-square-foot restaurant will also include an additional 3,000 square feet for private dining, with a planned patio and outdoor space.
The menu will feature fish and seafood, steaks and chops, salads, chicken, pastas and burgers prepared on a woodfire grill.
Over the summer, the restaurant group announced plans for a Sage Social Kitchen and Bar to open in East Cobb this month at 1401 Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta, where Chequers Seafood + Steak was before it closed after 33 years in May.
The Liakakos family, which owns the restaurants, also owns Sage Woodfire Tavern Perimeter, Sage Woodfire Tavern Alpharetta and Spice Brick Over Kitchen in Alpharetta.
