AJC food writer Elizabeth Lenhard reviews My Parents' Basement in Avondale Estates this week, which she describes as a "restaurant that champions comic book geekery, video game obsession and rec room-issue snackage (that) is not aimed at me, even if I am capable of the odd Roy Lichtenstein reference."

And yet, she writes, "I’m infatuated with this place. It offers enough weird charm to win over even someone who has banned video games from her household, who has never once worn Princess Leia buns to a Halloween party, and who does not speak a word of Elvish."
