It was a remnant of the rural South, smack dab in the middle of Midtown.
" There is no better place around for a meat-and-three lunch than Bobby and June's on 14th Street," reader Sandra Arthur told the AJC in 2007. "It is an unspoken rule in our office that anytime you need a Southern vegetable fix or some wonderful Brunswick stew and sweet tea that a trip to Bobby and June's is in order. Fried chicken; real Southern, made- from-scratch chicken and dumplings; speckled butter beans; crowder peas; or field peas served up with some crispy corn muffins and an unlimited supply of sweet tea . . . you can't beat it."
