Popular Athens brunch spot Mama's Boy specializes in southern cuisine in a modern dining atmosphere. The second Mama's Boy will open at The Falls of Oconee Shopping Center off of Macon Highway in late July, reports The Red and Black.

Biscuits, bacon and fried green tomatoes draw a large crowd to brunch each Sunday. With the growing popularity of Mama's Boy, co-owner and alumna of the University of Georgia Cooper Hudson said they had been looking for a second location for the 11-year-old restaurant for awhile.

The new 4,000 square foot space is more spacious than the original 1,700 square foot space. The added space will allow the restaurant to host larger events such as rehearsal dinners, baby showers and possibly even weddings in the future.
