Fat Tuesday is just days away, so you might want to start your party planning from now. To help, the following four Mardi Gras-themed events, which ranges from food, drinks, a masquerade party and an opportunity to get a bunch of beads, will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 28 unless noted otherwise.
Atlanta Bar Tours: The second annual Mardi Gras Streetcar Adventure will take revelers on a ride through Edgewood Ave, Fairly Poplar District and Centennial Olympic Park via streetcar with stops for food, drink and more beginning at noon Friday, Feb. 25. Specials will be available at a slew of restaurants including Dantanna's, Bone Lick BBQ & Edgewood Speakeasy and Harold's Chicken & Ice Bar. Participants, who are encouraged to arrive in festive Mardi Gras-themed costumes, can hop on and off during any of the stops. Tickets, which are $24.99, may be purchased here.
Cypress Street Pint & Plate : The party will start at 11 a.m. with Cajun lunch and dinner specials, Abita Brewing Company beers, $5 Hurricane cocktails, giveaways and more. Partygoers are encouraged to flaunt their best purple, green and gold masquerade attire too. Free and open to guests who are 21 years old and older.

Colony Square Plaza : Celebrate Fat Tuesday with New Orleans-inspired food and drinks, beads and live entertainment rom the horn section of Atlanta Funk Society from 11:30-2 p.m. at this Midtown plaza. Establishment will serve traditional Hurricanes during lunch on The Square and the Louisiana Purchase food truck will be on-site serving classic dishes like gumbo, po-boys and crawfish.

Serpas True Food: Louisiana native chef Scott Serpas will offer "The Big Easy" inspired dishes such as chicken andouille jambalaya, fried catfish and crawfish étouffée, beignets and king cake from 5:30-10 p.m. The evening will round out with live music. Reservations strongly encouraged.
