Oysterfest in Buckhead, Avalon Restaurant Week and more this week in metro Atlanta

Schuck it up at Oysterfest. Enjoy prix fixe lunch at dinner in Alpharetta during Avalon Restaurant Week. There are several fun, food events happening in Atlanta, so add one or all three of the following activities to your calendar. Be prepared to eat, drink and have a grand ole time.

Now through Oct. 21: Head to North Fulton for Avalon Restaurant Week , a week of prix fixe lunch or dinner for $15, $25 or $35. Participating restaurants include Oak Steakhouse, Café Intermezzo, Ted's Montana Grill and more. Additionally, guests who pick up a Taste the Experience Restaurant Tour Card at the concierge booth then get at least three stamps from participating restaurants will be eligible for a prize package featuring gift cards, a beer tasting and more.

Thursday, Oct. 19: Celebrate Diwali, the Hindu Festival of Lights, with a four-course dinner at Amara  in Inman Park. Each guest will select two starters, an entrée and dessert. Menu options will include stuffed masala mushroom and artichoke, fried calamari, seared red snapper, paneer Kundan Kaliya and more. A seat at the table will be $40. ​Reservations are encouraged.
