Can there ever be enough places in metro Atlanta to get Mexican food? One local restaurant is betting no.

Huey Luey's will open for business Oct. 3 at 6650 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, with a grand opening celebration planned for Oct. 20.

Guests can expect traditional Mexican dishes including a variety of tacos, burritos, fajitas and nachos and dishes with an American twist, including Southern BBQ brisket tacos and grilled hot wings.

The drink menu features more than 200 tequilas and mezcals, as well as an extensive margarita list.

The Sandy Springs location will be the restaurant's third, with existing locations at 3338 Cobb Pkwy. in Acworth and 5460 Wendy Bagwell Pkwy. in Hiram.

The space, formerly occupied by a Staples, will feature an open design with a "modern, industrial feel," according to a press release. Operating hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to midnight on Friday and Saturday.

A percentage of the sales from each Huey’s Gigantic “Burrote” sold goes to the Murphy-Harpst Children’s Center, a nod to Huey Luey's founder Richard Stoll's involvement in the organization (he serves on the Board of Directors). During the grand opening, 25 percent of all sales will be donated to support Murphy-Harpst, a non-profit that assists abused and neglected young people.
