Along with the original Sweet Auburn Curb Market location and two more places — on Piedmont Ave. in Atlanta and on Lumpkin St. in Athens —  Grindhouse Killer Burgers just added a second Atlanta airport location, and has a sprawling new restaurant under construction in Decatur.

The newest location is among the T Gates at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, with counter service and a full-service bar, similar to other stand-alone Grindhouse locations, plus breakfast offerings.

Construction continues on the Decatur location at 433 N. McDonough St., with an opening date now planned for  January 2016. Look for a rooftop bar, games and an array of big screen TVs.

In 2022, Georgia Power projected its winter peak electricity demand would grow by about 400 megawatts by 2031. Since then, Georgia has experienced a boom of data centers, which require a large load of electricty to run, and Georgia Power's recent forecast shows peak demand growing by 20 times the 400-megawatt estimate from just three years ago.
