The Hill Social will open in the Atlanta Univeristy Center neighborhood in late 2019.

A historic Atlanta neighborhood is slated to get a bar and restaurant that pays homage to the city’s civil rights leaders.

The Hill Social is set to open at 140 James P. Brawley Drive in the Atlanta University Center neighborhood this fall, What Now Atlanta reports.

Morehouse graduate Charles S. Hill Jr. and his father Dr. Charles S. Hill Sr. are behind the venture, which Hill Jr. said they hope will spur more development in the area.

The two-story restaurant will feature an upstairs deck and will display photos of civil rights activists and Atlanta University Center figures.

The menu will offer items including burgers, wings, salads, wraps and vegan options, and a full upstairs bar will serve daiquiris, margaritas, cocktails, beer and wine.

The AJC has reached out to Hill Jr. for more details.
