A funny thing happened after Broadway Diner closed its doors -- a chef snapped up the space with designs on turning it into a comedy club and restaurant.
Nicholas Lambrou plans to open Peachtree & North at 620 W. Peachtree St. NW, What Now Atlanta reports. The spot will serve as a full-service restaurant, bakery and bar, and will offer live entertainment in conjunction with Punchline Comedy, which is housed at 3652 Roswell Road as part of Landmark Diner.
Peachtree & North will be located down the street from Laughing Skull Comedy Lounge, attached to Vortex at 878 Peachtree St. NW.
Lambrou is also working on Delray Diner, a similar 24-hour diner concept with a comedy club, at 2475 Delk Road SE in Marietta. The space was previously home to Cosmopolitan Live Kitchen & Bar.
