If the holidays blew your budget or you just don’t feel dropping a wad of cash for one night or you just want a low-key, but festive New Year’s Eve celebration, this roundup is for you. The following six restaurants will be offering fuss-free, no cover charge celebrations and almost all will offer at least one free beer or champagne toast. All events will occur on New Year’s Eve, Saturday, Dec. 31 unless noted otherwise.
Ladybird Grove and Mess Hall: Guests will be invited to ring in the new year with no fuss—no reservations, no prix fixe, no dress code and no cover charge—at the third annual New Year's Eve Do Nuthin' party. Republic Social House: Dance the night and old year away from 10 p.m. – 2:30 a.m. at this Grant Park spot, which will host a rotating cast of local DJs spinning tunes from Atlanta to Los Angeles and everything else in between.

Cypress Street Pint and Plate: For a laid-back celebration, belly up to the bar, sit by the fire pit or and mix and mingle with friends while watching college football. Partygoers can also enjoy the regular food menu, craft beer list, $5 well drinks, half-priced wine bottles or ring in the new year with half-priced bottles of champagne or $3 champagne by the glass. Operating hours will be from 10 a.m. Dec. 31 to 2:45 a.m. Jan. 1.

Meehan's Public House: Swing by the Downtown location after the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl to ring in 2017 with a complimentary midnight toast. The Vinings location knows that two toasts are better than one, so arrive at 7 p.m. for a complimentary Guinness toast to the Irish New Year; a free champagne toast at midnight will also take place. The Atlantic Station location will offer two champagne toasts plus party favors.
